Last year i went to GERMANY. This was the first foreign journey i have travelled in my life. This was an official tour sponsered by my company.

Before I start, here are few details of my journey,

Day1: 09/10/2010 (2:30am to 7:30am) -> Panchkula to New Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport) :: Mode - Car (Mercedes)
Day1: 09/10/2010 (11:30am to 7:30pm) -> New Delhi - Dubai (via) - Dusseldorf Airport :: Mode - Flight (Emirates)
Day1: 09/10/2010 (7:30pm to 9:30pm) -> Dusseldorf Airport to Werne :: Mode - Car (Mercedes)
Day2: 10/10/2010 -> Visited locally in the city of Werne
Day3: 11/10/2010 -> Whole day and evening working at office (Werne-Germany)
Day4: 12/10/2010 -> Munster (Germany)
Day5: 13/10/2010 -> Dortmund (Germany)
Day6: 14/10/2010 -> Nordkirchen - The fort
Day7: 15/10/2010 -> Done some shopping locally at werne
Day8: 16/10/2010 -> Hohe Mark Nature Park, Germany and Netherland
Day9: 17/10/2010 (4:00pm to 6:00pm) -> Werne to Dusseldorf Airport :: Mode - Car (Mercedes)
Day9&10: 17/10/2010 (7:30pm) to 18/10/2010 (2:30pm) -> Dusseldorf Airport - Dubai (via) - New Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport):: Mode - Flight (Emirates)
Day10: 18/10/2010 (2:30pm to 9:00pm) -> New Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport) to Panchkula :: Mode - SUV (Innova)

Day1: 09/10/2010 (2:30am to 7:30am) -> Panchkula to New Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport)
Reached the airport, after custom clearance and other things when i entered inside the airport, i was spell bound. It was so beautiful. Really INDIA is INDIA. There were many shops over there (but very expensive)

Because i had to travel in a plane first time, my eyes were trying their best to find and see the aeroplane. This was an early morning and our flight was scheduled to depart at 11:30am.

It was unbelievable for me that this was my first flight and it was an international flight.

This is the first view of an aeroplane for me from a short distance.


After that i tried more and putted some more efforts to see the plane.

I was calling this plane "JUMBO". It was a very big cargo

Then i found a passenger plane


At last after a long waiting i entered into my plane.

And this was the LCD screen placed in front of my seat. On this screen, i could watch the movie, listen the songs (with head phones), could play the video game, Could make an intercom call to other seats or to air hostess. Even international calls could also be made from this equipment (with credit card but very-2 expensive). I can see some statistic of the plane from this screen e.g height at which plane is flying right now, temperature outside the plane, wind speed and total distance from source station to destination, important cities and some brief details of those cities etc, etc...

I landed Germany and after clearance from airport when i came out, Dr. Sanjay with a driver was waiting for me. Dr. Sanjay is head of our German subsidiary. I entered into the car and we were on the German roads. He was driving the car at the speed of 150 to 180 kmph. I was thrilling at this speed. Even i afraid of that speed since my brain was not mapped of that speed. I requested Dr. Sanjay to instruct the driver to go slow. He smiled and told me that its a normal speed on this highway. And from the window glass i saw that everybody was driving at this speed. We reached at our company guest house at 9:45pm. Dr. Sanjay shown me my room. We had dinner and went for the sleep.

Day2: 10/10/2010 (Monday) : After having the breakfast we went for a walk to see the Werne city. It was really a beautiful and very peaceful city. We went towards the railway station. To my surprise, nobody was there. No ticket window. No railway staff. There was many questions bombarding in my mind. Dr. Sanjay understood the questions in my mind and smiled and told me that there is no ticket window. After every 15 minutes, a train comes to this station. If you want to travel in this train, just step in and take your journey ticket inside the train with the help of an automatic ticketing machine. “Wow, how responsible and faithful citizens are there”, i said in my mind.

We crossed the railway station and went to the other side of the station. That area was a cropping area and there were some crops of mustard was there. There was a big land for the grazing of cows. Nobody was there and it was very calm and peaceful area.
